I think every lady in the hunting and or shooting community has heard this at least once in their life. Of course I shoot like a girl! I have the body of a girl and the mindset of a girl. That’s not a bad thing. Actually with much practice and patients I have become a pretty good shot. I am not going to win any competitions, but I can confidently say that I’m gonna hit what I’m shooting at 90% of the time. Nobody is perfect.
March is my birthday month and very nearly the anniversary of my Blog! So I decided to do something special this week. I called all my huntress friends and invited them out for a day at the shooting cinema and some grilling after. Girls only for the shooting. All the ladies who joined are ladies who generally have a good supportive group of hunters around, but none the less sometimes it’s nice to shoot with the girls. Much fun was had by all and we had a great day.
I wouldn’t want anyone to say that I was excluding the boys. I would never… we invited our spouses along, but they were sent back to the house while we did our shooting to have a drink and “Man the Fire”.
WE started the day at Soonwald Shiesẞkino. The owners there are great and the video options seem to be nearly countless. It’s a fun way to get some close to real life practice for moving game. 6 ladies Joined me for shooting.
Then we went back to a friends place he has a large barn which offered cover in case of rain and we grilled up some good food and spent the afternoon chatting and telling hunting stories. We even named a hunting queen of the day who went home with a can of bratwurst from my last wild boar and a pair of hand knit socks that I finished for the occasion.
A good time was had by all.
