Today I went out again. This time another huntress joined me. We have discussed hunting a lot but never hunted together. We had a really nice chat (very quietly of course) while hoping to see something come in. We went to the zoo one of my favorite stands and discussed all things hunting.
Apparently things are very different in Hessen to where she hunts in Bavaria. We got to see one roe deer, but unfortunately outside of the safe shooting area and not close enough for clear Identification.
Shortly after that sighting the weather changed, and the temperature dropped, for the last hour of daylight nothing else seemed to be moving. When it started to rain just after dark we decided to pack up and head home. And really just in time. The drive home it was dumping rain by the bucket!
