It’s been a bit busy and I didn’t get around to posting much last week. Truth be told, I was hunting with a friend in a different area than my usual hunting location.

The weather was great but the grass unusually high for this time of year. 3 evenings of hunting in 2 different locations with similar results. The grass was high, I was able to see roe deer all 3 nights. All were does and 2 had their babies tagging along. That was really the highlight for me. I was watching the doe and all of a sudden something akin to a super ball kame bouncing to the mom and around here. Baby roe deer bounce more than walk and so it really looked like a super ball.

On Thursday our pal was successful and got a wild boar just before dark. We went to locate the animal in the very tall grass. As we went to look I tried to swap batteries in my Thermal. Being a clutz, I dropped the cap to the battery slot in the very tall grass. we tried to find it in the dark, but were unsuccessful. In the end we successfully located the pig, but not the cap.

When we got back to the house I shot an email to Blaser Group customer service regarding a replacement cap for the thermal.

The next morning I got an answer back from Blaser, requesting my address and they sent me a replacement at no cost. This is what I cost customer service! Thanks Blaser team. (No I am not getting any compensation for this, and no I didn’t mention my blogging while requesting the service.)
